PROJECT ROOM FOUNDER TAKES UP AFRICA VOICES TRUST DIRECTORSHIP

As of April 2014, Jessica Schnehage, while still remaining fully committed and active within The Project Room, will additionally take up the role of Managing Director of the Africa Voices Trust.

Says Jessica about the opportunity: “Through my years of being involved in the music industry, the one thing I have come across repeatedly is the frustration that artists in South Africa endure on a daily basis. Having been witness to the transformative process that the Africa Voices Trust facilitates, I take up this directorship with a great sense of responsibility, excitement for the direction in which the Trust is headed, and look very much forward to creating an increasingly beneficial environment within which we can empower our program participants – enhancing their own experience. It is my hope that they will, as others have done in the past, use this invaluable wisdom, as well as a growing trust in their own abilities, to empower others. I feel an immense sense of gratitude for finally having been given the means with which to contribute to alleviating the frustration in our industry, even if just a little. And I have no doubt that the impact that this Trust has the potential to make, over time and with patience, will change the face of our music industry for the better.”

“I’ve Been Bad” is set to be the first single from the forthcoming Z&G EP “Knuckles.” The band invited 40 Z&G fans to be a part of the shoot, which took place at the Alex Theatre in Johannesburg on 15 April 2014, where they were patrons at a dingy, off-the-beaten-path bar and part of the crowd for the Z&G live performance. Special thanks to director Ross Garrett and the DOP Rob Malpage!

DJ CLOCK FT. BEATENBERG RELEASE “PLUTO” MUSIC VIDEO

Beatenberg-x-DJ-Clock-Pluto-Remember-You-2

Released a few months back, Pluto is the joint effort of DJ Clock and Beatenberg and is currently topping charts as the most played song in South Africa. The single enjoyed 8 consecutive weeks as #1 on SA charts and became the most played song over a 7 day period in local media guide tracking history.

The video by Pilot Films stars Matthew Field, Ross Dorkin, Robin Brink and DJ Clock who each (on separate occasions) fall for the all too lovely love-interest played by Demi van der Westhuizen.

The video has garnered more than 100,000 views in less than a month since it’s released. If you haven’t seen it yet, CLICK HERE.

You can also check out some behind the scenes footage.
